FAQ

What is tech neck?

Tech neck is a modern condition caused by prolonged use of devices like smartphones, tablets and laptops. It refers to neck pain and stiffness resulting from poor posture while looking down atthe screen for prolonged periods. People generally complain of persistent neck and shoulder pain and reduced mobility. Some people also complain of headache.

What is the treatment of Tech neck?

Most cases of tech neck can be treated under the expert guidance of a physiotherapist or an osteopath. Only very rarely they may have underlying spinal issues such as disc herniation and arthritis for which Mr Ahmad will make a tailored treatment plan. Posture improvement such as keeping the screen at eye level and sitting upright with shoulder and back support is key to preventing long-term issues.
